St. Coloman’s Church

The artwork captures St. Coloman’s in a field amongst the Bavarian Alps in Schwangau. The church is dedicated to St. Coloman, an Irish pilgrim who died in 1012. The church unifies the natural environment with baroque splendor and rural tradition. It is the epitome of Bavarian Baroque architecture from the 17th century.
